La Haute Autorité de l'Audiovisuel et de la Communication a pour mission de garantir et d'assurer la liberté et la protection de la presse, ainsi que de tous les moyens de communication de masse dans le respect de la loi. Elle veille au respect de la déontologie en matière d'information et à l'accès équitable des partis politiques, des associations et des citoyens aux moyens officiels d'information et de communication. <P>---------------------------------------------------<P>The HAAC's mission is to ensure and guarantee the freedom & protection of the press, ans also all the mass communication resources within the respect of law. The HAAC is also responsible for ensuring the respect of professional ethics by all journalists and the fair access to the official medias by all political parties, associations and citizens. |

Presentation of HAAC

The president of the HAAC is appointed by a decree of the Benin Cabinet meeting (Conseil des Ministres) after consultation of the President of the National Assembly (Parliament).
The HAAC is composed of nine members:
- 1 président (President)
- 1 vice-président (Vice President)
- 2 rapporteurs (Protractors)
- 5 membres (Members).
