| Stated Role | The functions of the Ministry :- <P>• Direct, guide and co-ordinate the work of the Anti-Corruption Commission in investigating instances of corruption wherever they occur and carrying out public awareness programs to prevent and combat corruption. <P>• Institute anti-corruption measures to combat corruption in the public, private and civic sectors. <P>• Study and analyse trends towards increased economic concentration with a view to investigating monopoly situations and the prevention of such situations, where they are contrary to the public interest. <P>• Assess and analyse mergers and acquisitions, as well as collusive arrangements between competitors, which lead to monopolies or monopoly situations. <P> |
