Overall Functions<P>1. Manage the Consolidated Revenue Fund, the National Development Fund, and debt.<P>2. Formulate and administer the national accounting policy.<P>3. Ensure maximum efficiency in the usage of limited public financial and public property by evaluating and formulating up-to-date and effective systems of internal check and control.<P>4. Formulate the National Budget with emphasis on the recurrent expenditure of Government and approving conditions of service of the Public Service on the recommendations of the various service commissions.<P>5. Manage Domestic and International Finance, facilitate and participate in the negotiations.<P>6. Register and supervise Insurance Companies and Pension Funds.<P>7. Give policy guidelines to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.<P>8. Implement the Economic Reform Programme and analyse the impact of the policies on the economy.<P>9. Carry out Macro-economic reviews and recommend policies which promote macro-economic stability necessary for sustainable economic growth.<P>10. Collect all revenue due to Government in particular, through the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).<P>11. Analyse the performance of parastatals and advise on matters of financial policy.<P>12. Supervise State Lotteries.<P>13. Administer the Central Computing Services.<P>14. Administer the Central Payments Office.<P>15. Administer the National Economic Conduct Inspectorate.<P>16. Provide financial and administrative support services<P> |
