| Notes | Government Committed to Improving Rural Folks Living Angola Press Agency (Luanda) 17 October 2007 Luanda Angolan Government, through its interministerial commission, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, has since January this year embarked on a "Rural Development Programme for people and against poverty" intended to improve the living of the rural folks. The information was released by the deputy minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Filomena Delgado, who added that currently, some peasant families are already getting the benefit of new or restored houses thus having their living improved. The programme will benefit the country's 18 provinces, with a budget of Usd 150 million, and was designed on instructions from the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos. The Programme's Interministerial Commission comprises the ministries of Health, Family and Women Promotion, Planning, Youth and Sports and other government's institutions.
