The Ministry of Energy and Waters, hereinafter abbreviated to MINEA, is the umbrella body of the Government that the sectors of Energy and Water, being responsible for the development of their policies, planning, coordination, supervision and control of activities related to recovery and rational use the national water and energy resources |

Propose and promote the implementation of the policy pursued by the sectors of Energy and Water; <P>Define, promote and ensure the quality of public service in their areas of operation; <P>Prepare, under the general planning of economic and social development of the country, sectoral plans for their areas of operation; <P>Promoting research activities implemented with effect on their areas of operation; <P>Establish strategies, promote and coordinate the recovery and rational use of water resources and energy, ensuring the sustainable development of the same; <P>Propose and produce legislation establishing the legal framework and legal activity in the sectors of Energy and Water, in particular that on licensing and create the necessary mechanisms to monitor the observance thereof; <P>Licensing and inspecting the operation of services and facilities of energy; <P>Licensing and inspect exploitations and hydraulic systems for water and sanitation; <P>Promote actions of international exchange and cooperation in their areas of operation; <P>Promoting human resources development in energy and water; <P>Establish standards to ensure the quality of services of water and energy; <P>The other powers conferred by law. <P>The Ministry of Energy and Water is headed by its Minister, which coordinates all its activities and operation of services that integrate. <P>In performing their functions the Minister of Energy and Water is assisted by Deputy Minister, who may delegate powers to monitor, treat and decide on matters pertaining to the activities and operation of the services which they are assigned.<P><P> |
