Specific Objectives are to: - <P>Provide reliable diagnostic services to identify the real nature of affliction and its cause and thus subject it to the right kind of treatment. <P>Provide effective treatment using appropriate technology, to cure the ailment and its cause. <P>Provide effective support to Primary Health Care Services e.g. through the National Mental Health, and the Prevention of Blindness Programmes <P>Promote and carry out research and investigations in connection with cause identification, prevention and treatment of human diseases. <P>Maintain the highest attainable professional standards of health services. <P>Ensure efficient overall management of referral and district hospitals through optimum utilisation of all resources allocated to hospitals (manpower, finance, material, facilities etc.) <P>Ensure that the overall performance of the department of Hospital Services remains effective and efficient. <P> |
