Objectives of the Ministry
In fulfilling its mission, the Ministry of Finance pursues the following broad objectives:
Formulate and implement financial and economic policies to achieve sustainable economic growth for poverty reduction;
Identify and pursue revenue-generating sources for enhanced domestic revenue mobilization;
Formulate and implement budget policies consistent with prudent spending for improved service delivery;
Manage government’s external and domestic debt to achieve lasting exit from the debt burden; and
Coordinate and manage bilateral and multilateral donor assistance to achieve timely interventions and effective utilization of donor resources. |
