(1) The Ministry for the Trade is placed under the authority of a Minister, assisted by a Secretary of State. (2) The Commercial Minister is in charge with the development, the implementation and the evaluation of the policy of the Government in the field of the trade. For this reason, he/she is responsible: - development, implementation and evaluation of the strategies of promotion of the Cameronian products; - promotion and defense of a quality control mark for the products with export; - search for new markets for the Cameronian products; - follow-up of the international trade of the agricultural produce of the country; - control of the application of the standards as regards importation, in connection with the Minister in charge of standardization; - development of the regulation as regards price, and the follow-up of its application; - follow-up of inflation; - promotion and control of healthy competition; - organization and supervision of the trade fairs; - development of the standards of measuring, the quality control instruments and follow-up of their application, connection with the Minister in charge of standardization; - negotiation and follow-up of the implementation of the trade agreements; - follow-up of the statistics of trade; - follow-up of the relations with the international organizations working in the field of the international trade; - development or homologation of the standards of presentation, conservation and distribution of the products of great consumption and control of the respect of these standards by Ies economic operators concerned, in connection with the Minister in charge of standardization; - application of the administrative sanctions in the event of fraud or non-observance of the set standards; - promotion of the competitiveness of the Cameronian products on the foreign markets. Article 2: (1) For the achievement of his missions, the Commercial Minister lays out: - of a Particular Secretary; - of two (2) Technical Advisers; - of a General Inspection; - of Police headquarters; - decentralized Services; - external Services. (2) The Secretary of State has a Particular Secretariat. |
