We, the Department of Internal Audit are committed to providing quality internal audit service to the Government of Botswana. This we shall do by adhering to the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and advising management on the following: <P><P> The review of risk management, control and governance processes <P> The maintenance of proper accounting records of Government revenues and expenditures. <P> The existence of adequate and effective controls, financial and otherwise. <P> The need to review systems and procedures pertaining to management. <P> Adherence to laid down laws, policies, procedures and guidelines. <P> The economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which Government resources are employed to ensure that Government gets value for money. <P> The need to be gender sensitive in all aspects of their operations. <P> |
