| Department of Ministry Management The Department has overall responsibility for co-ordination, direction and control of all administrative aspects of the Ministry and Botswana Mission abroad. The Department is headed by a Director. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS To co-ordinate administration activities in respect of Headquarters and Missions. This includes functions such as, budgeting, supplies, financial management, management of Government properties and Missions abroad. To identify and maintain the most effective and secure means of communication possible between Government and Missions abroad and also among Botswana Missions themselves. To train and develop foreign service personnel with a view to attaining the highest standard of performance. To develop and administer conditions of service for the Foreign Service and staff recruited locally by Botswana Missions abroad. To gather, process, analyse and interpret relevant management data for management use in planning and development |
