The ministry’s vision is to become the principle co-ordinator of government policies for post-conflict humanitarian, relief and reconstruction projects.

The goal of the ministry is the complete reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure of the land, and the complete resettlement and integration of both the refugees and the internally displaced. This goal will be considered to have been achieved when all affected families are completely resettled and integrated into the wider community and when the destroyed physical and human infrastructures are rebuilt
