ITA is a public institution working in the food and nutrition research & development sector. <P>The institute also carries out food processing studies project (economic and technical surveys) for investors, and participate at training sessions in the universities and graduate schools in Senegal and in foreign countries (specially in Western African sub region). |

-Guide and coordinate research and studies concerning the treatment, the transformation, the conditioning, the conservation and the use of local foodstuffs, mainly with an aim of promoting the installation of corresponding industries. <P>-Develop new food resources derived from the local productions which have good food value and adapted to the consumer needs and purchasing power. <P>-Help with the quality control of the foodstuffs at production, marketing, import and export phase. <P>-Participate at the training session of the Food Professionals. |
