The Court of Justice of the WAEMU is an organ of control of the Union. The Court works to 'uniformise' the law within the Union and its application, particularly when any State member is breaching the trust of the Union.
The Court arbitrates conflicts arising between the members of the Union or between the Union and its agents.
The Court is composed of a judge appointed by each State for a mandate of 6 years renewable once. |
