To begin the task of establishing Local Government in Southern Sudan in accordance with the LGF/Local Government Act. |
| Activities |
The LGRP works in complementrary terms with the LGF which prepare's the ground for local governments in selected counties to handle a greater inflow of GoSS resources and anticipated foreign aid, and to eventually direct recovery and development planning in their respective localities.
In conformity with the Interim National Constitution, the Interim Constitution of Southern Sudan, the State Constitutions and other GoSS policies, the Local Government Framework (LGF), and when it is enacted the Local Government Act, will serve as the main reference point for the LGRP. |
