The project is aimed at strengthening the Economic and Social Affairs Bureau (BAES) of the Office of the President of Burkina Faso, and more generally, at enhancing the capacity of the Government to play a strategic role in guiding the economy of Burkina Faso by involving all the relevant national agencies and other actors whose missions and activities relate to policy analysis and economic management in the country. The project has four immediate objectives<P>to play a major role in the design and evaluation of broad economic and social policy in the medium- and long-term<P>to organise training in policy analysis and economic management in general, and in the area of prospective analysis in particular<P>to update the stock, and upgrade the quality, of the relevant data and information on the economy as well as facilitate exchange of experience through consolidation of the data base and establishment of Documentation Center<P>to establish a network of experts in prospective studies and in economic and social policy analysis<P> |
