| Activities | For its research activities, IRAF is divided into four departments: the General Agricultural Department, the Rural Economy Department, the Forestry Sciences Department, and the Zootechnical Department. Each department is composed of several research units and laboratories.<P>Its mission is four-fold: <P>-To undertake and develop researches on plants; on animal, forested and fishery resources and upon rural economy, for the social and economic development of Gabon.<P>- To work in the development of inter African and international scientific cooperation, in its field of competence.<P>- To perform project prospections to the advantage of investors, in agronomic and forest fields (economic and technological studies).<P>- To promote national researchers and technicians, as well as the training of students and productors.<P> |
