Notes The production pool comprises twenty- three diesel power plants; four wind power plants; and a steam power station. The total installed capacity is 70.1 MW of which, diesel 67.2 MW, wind 2.4 MW and thermal steam 0.8 MW. However, the actual capacity available to satisfy demand is lower than the installed capacity due to several generator breakdowns. The insufficiency of lifting equipment compounds the maintenance of the aerogenerators. Only one crane is available for handling the generators which are installed on 30-metre high masts on several islands.
