The Cabinet Office provides strategic and administrative services to enable the Cabinet to plan, decide and ensure the implementation of the agenda of Government. It has a primary responsibility to promote an integrated approach to governance and ultimately accelerated service delivery. It has to ensure that there are efficient structures and systems for effective co-ordination, monitoring and evaluation of Government business<P>The Office supports the management of the business of Cabinet and its committees and provides technical support to facilitate the operational and strategic content of the work of Cabinet. <P>The Cabinet Office consists of three Sub-Programmes:<P>Office of the Deputy Director-General (DDG) <P>Chief Directorate: Cabinet Secretariat <P>Chief Directorate: Cabinet Operations<P>The three Sub-Programmes work in conjunction with the Policy Co-ordination and Advisory Services (PCAS) to ensure synergy and co-ordination in their respective areas of work. The Programmes are, in varying degrees, responsible for the enhancement of policy formulation and monitoring and evaluation of the Government’s Programme of Action (POA).<P> |
