This branch conducts research and provides analytical support and advice to The Presidency on policy issues, and all aspects of policy co-ordination, implementation and monitoring. PCAS also works very closely with the Directors General (DG) Clusters and acts as a link between the Cabinet Committees and the appropriate DG Clusters.<P>Comprises of the following seven Chief Directorates:<P>1. Economic <P>2. Governance and Administration <P>3. International Relations and Trade <P>4. Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) <P>5. Social Sector <P>6. Planning <P>7. Special Programmes<P>7.1 Office on the Status of Women (OSW)<P>7.2 Office on the Rights of the Child (ORC)<P>7.3 Office on the Status of Disabled People (OSDP)<P> |
| Activities |
Whilst these offices and/or special programmes have distinct mandates, they share certain common core functions, which include policy analysis, mainstreaming, monitoring and evaluation, networking and advocacy.<P>The Chief Directorates provides research, analytical and policy support to The Presidency on economic, social, criminal-justice, international and governance issues. These support activities input into policies, strategies, and politicial principals’ addresses and speeches. |
