| Stated Role | The Communications Branch in The Presidency is tasked with the responsibility of providing communication, research and information services to enable The Presidency to communicate effectively within Government, with the South African public and the outside world.<P>The Branch is concerned with communicating the messages of the Political Principals and Government policies to all levels of society and to the international community clearly, accurately and accessibly. <P>To fulfill this function, the Branch is required to remain abreast of political developments, debates, policy changes, enactment of laws, and current affairs. This requirement forms the knowledge base which informs the content of all the work produced by the Branch. <P>The work of the Communications Branch is organized into four Units.
