The Public Participation Unit plays a central role in achieving the measurable objectives of bringing Government and The Presidency closer to the people, and effective interaction with the public. The Unit oversees the organizing of the Izimbizo programmes of the President and the Deputy President. <P>Izimbizos are governance exercises designed to bring The Presidency (and by extension Government) closer to the people. The Unit participated in the formulation of an inter-governmental Izimbizo Programme, as well as the development of an improved system of follow-up processes by Government.<P> |
