| Notes | More details about Luisa Diogo: -------------------------------------- Luísa Dias Diogo was in the District of Mágoè in the Province of Tete in central Mozambique, the third of eight children of Luís João Diogo, a retired nurse, and Laura Atanásio Dias, a housewife. ------------- Luísa Diogo led various negotiations and deep-going reforms in the public sector, with highlight on: •Negotiations with the Paris Club and other bilateral creditors for rescheduling of the foreign debt, including HIPC for Mozambique, from 1998 to 2000; •Elected Vice-President of the African Caucus (2003); •Drew up and published the first General State Accounts in 1999/2000; •Participation in the Public Sector Reform (from 2000 to 2004) and in the Reform of the State Financial System (from 1997 to 2004), leading the introduction of SISTAFE in 2003; •She participated in the process of Reform of the Tax System from 1997, culminating in the introduction of the VAT (1999), and led the introduction of the Vehicle Tax, Individual Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax (2003); she also managed the Customs Reform (from 2000 to 2004) and respective consolidation; •She prepared the creation of the Mozambique Tax Authority (2004 and 2005). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Community Development. On the February 16, 2006, Luisa Diogo was appointed Co-Chair of the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Panel on UN System-wide Coherence in the areas of Development, Humanitarian Assistance and Environment. In 2004 Luisa was awarded the Order of Eduardo Mondlane, second class, by the President of the Republic of Mozambique. ---------------- She is married to the lawyer António Albano Silva and they have three children: Nelson, João Nuno and Laura Solange.
