Mrs Mohohlo has worked for the Bank of Botswana since its inception in the mid 70s. She has served in a number of capacities including heading the Financial Markets Department where she was responsible for the management of Botswana’s foreign exchange reserves. She also served as Deputy Governor before being appointed Governor in 1999. Mrs Mohohlo has also worked for the International Monetary Fund in the African Department and the Monetary and Exchange Affairs Department. She serves on boards of major corporations in Botswana and abroad, and was recently appointed Eminent Person by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr Kofi Annan, charged with the responsibility of overseeing the Evaluation of the United Nations Agenda for the Development of Africa in the 1990s.
