| Notes | The Honourable ‘Malijane Norah Maqelepo was born at Pulane on the 30th January 1944. She did her primary education at Pulane LEC from 1953 to 1956. In 1957 she went to Masianokeng Higher Primary School where she completed Standard 6 in 1959. From 1960 to 1962 she did B.P.T.C3 at Morija Girls Training College. She further went to National Teachers Training College in 1978 and obtained A.P.T.C. In 1982 she further went to the National University of Lesotho and completed Diploma in Education. In 1985 she obtained Bachelors Degree in Education at the National University of Lesotho. She was a primary teacher for twenty years. From 1986 to 1998 she worked as an Education Officer in the department of Field Services in the Ministry of Education. She became a Senior Education Officer in the department of Field Services until 2001 when she retired from Civil Service into politics. Mrs. Maqelepo has made contributions within the community as well as internationally. She participated in tree planting activities and played a greater part in Boiteko Women Associations, and also participating in political issues. Mrs. Maqelepo also took part in HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns and was involved in Red Cross activities. Mrs. Maqelepo has four children, two sons and two daughters |
