CARLOS SERÉ (Uruguay) joined ILRI as Director General in January 2002. Before this, he was director of the regional office of Canada’s International Development Research Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean. In various international-research-for-development initiatives, he has engaged policymakers in the design and use of research products. He has over 20 years of experience in agricultural research, with an emphasis on livestock, and has worked as a consultant with various CGIAR centres.
