Notes Mr Moosa is currently the Executive Chairman of Lereko Investments, Non-Executive Director of Sanlam Ltd, Real Africa Holdings Limited, Sun International and Imperial Holdings.
He is also the President of the World Conservation Union (IUCN), a Member of Auditor-General's Advisory Board, and a member of the National Executive Council of the African National Congress (ANC).
Mr Moosa was elected to South Africa's first democratic Parliament in 1994.
He served as Deputy Minister of Constitutional Development (1994 - 1996), Minister of Constitutional Development (1996 - 1999) and as Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (1999 - 2004).
He was a Member of the Constitutional Assembly and Chairperson of the ANC's negotiating team in the constitutional talks (1994 - 1996).
Mr Moosa also served as Chairperson of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development from 2002 - 2003. He hosted the UN World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002 and the World Parks Congress in 2003. He was deeply involved in the global climate change negotiations and is one of the architects of the Kyoto Protocol.
