| Notes | From 1986 to 1994 Jacob held various engineering positions with Western deep levels Gold Mine, AECI, and Sasol Synthetic Fuels. His association with Eskom began in 1995 when he joined Distribution as Technology Manager, later moving onto Engineering Manager in the Northern and North Eastern Regions. In September 2000 Jacob was appointed Managing Director of Distribution until July 2003. Thereafter he was appointed as Managing Director of Transmission. Jacob currently serves as a director on the Electricity Distribution Industry (EDI) Board and was appointed to the Eskom Executive Committee during 2000. During 1995 Jacob completed the Management Development Programme through Unisa, and the Executive Leadership Development Programme through Arthur D Little Management Education Institute (USA). In 1996 Jacob completed the Strategy Management for Electricity Utilities through Unipede (Germany), in 1998 the Senior Executive Programme through Harvard and Wits and during 2000 the Advanced Management Programme through Harvard. He is a member of the SA Institute of Electrical Engineers since 1987.
