Martin Kingston has been the Deputy Executive Chairman of NM Rothschild & Sons since January 2007. From July December 2006, he was the Executive Chairman of Longcross Capital, and prior to that he was the Executive Chairman as well as Head of Global Banking at Deutsche Bank (South Africa). Martin has 24 years experience in investment banking with Deutsche Bank and previously with Morgan Grenfell. He has extensive experience in Africa, Latin America, the former Soviet Union, Middle East and the UK. Martin is currently a member of the transformation committees at Anglo American, Xstrata, Rothschild and Kagiso. He is also a board member of Financial Sector Charter Council and of The Banking Association. Additionally, he is the Chairman of International Bankers Association and Chairperson of BESO’s Social Impact Projects Programme South Africa (SIPPSA) 2000.
