Mr Behets is a geologist with over 19 years experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry in Australia and internationally. From 1988 to 2005, he worked for WMC Resources Limited where he held various senior management positions, including Manager Geology - Kambalda Nickel Operations, Manager Commercial - St Ives Gold Operations, Manager Geology - Pinares Nickel Project (Cuba), Exploration Manager - Brazil and most recently, Group Manager Exploration. Mr Behets has a strong combination of technical, commercial and managerial skills and extensive experience in regional and mine-site exploration, mineral resource and ore reserve estimation, feasibility studies and mine geology for nickel sulphide, nickel laterite, gold and copper-gold-uranium deposits.
Mr Behets is a Fellow of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. He is also a current member of the Australasian Joint Ore Reserve Committee (JORC). Mr Behets was appointed a Director of the Company on 7 November 2005.
