Mr Tomich is a geologist with 30 years post-graduate experience in the mining industry. His extensive broad experience includes roles involving technical, financial and corporate aspects of the industry. Mr Tomich formerly worked in the Western Australian mining industry as a geologist before commencing as a mining analyst with a stock-broking firm in 1987. Subsequent roles involved executive management positions in investment banking, corporate and project finance and business development, before establishing his own consultancy practice in 1997. Mr Tomich has assisted Oropa's directors over the past 12 months with their ongoing search for advanced mineral exploration projects in South East Asia, particularly Thailand and Indonesia and he was instrumental in introducing the Pungkut gold project to the company and later sourcing its most recent funding initiative through Macquarie Bank Limited.
