Notes Shabbir went to Nairobi School between 1965 and 1971 where he did his ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels.
He joined Makerere University in Uganda in 1972 to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree but left a year later.
He proceeded to Middlesex Polytechnic in London from 1974 to 1975 for a diploma in Accountancy.
In 1976 he enrolled for a Bachelor of Arts.
Shabbir did his Masters of Business Administration at Henley, Management College, in England between May 1981 and 1982.
He is also the chairman of New Nyanza Provincial General Hospital board.
The MP was born in 1953 in Kisumu. He is married and has four children.
