| Notes | Theresa Makone's Profile: Mai Makone’s political career dates back to 1973 in student activism culminating to her expulsion from University of Rhodesia, she was exiled to the United Kingdom from 1973 to 1978. She joined the MDC in January 2000 and worked with the Elections Support Group till after the 2000 general election. She rose through the ranks from ward level to district level in Hwedza. She was the party’s parliamentary candidate for Hwedza in the 2005 General Election in December 2005 Theresa was elected Provincial Chairperson a position she held until October 2007 extra-ordinary congress where she was elected Chairperson for the National Women’s Assembly. Theresa is an accomplished academic and a successful business woman. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and Bio-chemistry from Nottingham University (UK), diploma in Leadership Management International (Waco Texas), International Therapy Examination Council Aestheticienne (UK) and Cidesco Diplome International.
