Tamsanqa is a founder member of the party in 1999 becoming the Bulawayo Province vice-chairperson. In 2000 he was elected into the Youth National Executive he was responsible for Labour and Social Welfare. In 2003 he was National Youth Vice-chairman. In 2006 he was elected become the National Youth. Assembly Chairperson.
Mahlangu is a member of the MDC standing committee. He is a trade unionist cum politician having worked for Zimbabwe Furniture. He holds a diploma in Store Management, Advanced in Purchasing and Supply and also holds journeyman in Carpentry.
