| Notes | "Academician Dato’ Ir. Lee Yee Cheong is Malaysian. He studied in the University of Adelaide, South Australia on a Colombo Plan scholarship and graduated with the degree of B.E. (Electrical) with first class honours in 1961. He served with the National Electricity Board Malaysia until 1980, primarily involved in power system protection, real-time computer control of the power grid and in pioneering the use of computer in power system planning in Malaysia and for the ASEAN Power Grid. In 1980, he joined Tenaga Ewbank Preece (M) Sdn Bhd (TEP) as a Director and then Managing Director. He eventually became a partner in the U.K. holding company, overseeing the expansion of the group in the Asia Pacific region. He was Managing Director of Ewbank Preece (Far East) Ltd, Hong Kong and Director of Ewbank Preece joint-venture companies in Australia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and Thailand. He retired as CEO, KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd in 2002. He is a director of UMW Holdings Berhad, the Malaysian parent company of UMW-Toyota Motor Corporation.
