Notes Mrs. Nenadi E. Usman was appointed Honourable Minister of Finance, Federal Republic of Nigeria on June 21, 2006. She had been Honourable Minister of State for Finance between July 2003 and June 20, 2006.
As Minister of State for Finance she was the Chairman, Federal Accounts Allocation Committee. She was also a member of the Economic Management Team.
She was born 12th November, 1966 in Jere, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Mrs. Usman had built a solid career in her constituency of Kaduna State where prior to her being appointed as Minister of State for Finance, she was Honourable Commissioner of Health for Kaduna State.
She had also held the positions of Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Youth and Social Development, as well as the position of Executive Adviser for Information, Home Affairs and Culture, following the position of Executive Adviser for Youth.
Mrs. Usman graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University with a B.Sc in Geography and also received a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Jos. She is a member of the Kaduna State Caucus, Defunct National Republican Convention and a Member-Elect, House of Representatives (Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency) UNCP. She is the initiator and founder of an NGO, "Education and Empowerment for Women” in Jere, Kaduna State.
She is a donor of Free Rural Health Care Centre in Jere, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and has been involved in many developmental fora for Youths.
Mrs. Nenadi Usman has represented the Federal Government at many important fora and led several Presidential delegations on far-reaching missions to many countries. Some of these include:-
