Opposition MPs have ganged up to force government to make its position clear on the recent revelations in British media linking Defence Minister Davis Katsonga to a blackmail scandal that led to his conviction and a four-year jail sentence in the United Kingdom. A newspaper clip of a May 21 and June 4, 2006 edition of the Scottish Sunday Express made the revelation soon before Scottish International Development Minister Patricia Ferguson came to Malawi, was yesterday secretly circulated among the opposition members allegedly by some UDF MPs in an effort to lobby for support from the other MPs to take government to task on the Katsonga saga [ Retrieved on 21/7/2006 ] |
