Alhaji Mohamed Swarray Deen was educated at the Prince of Wales School and the Bo School. He studied Mining Engineering at the Camborne School of Mines, Cornwall, England and at the Imperial college, Science, Technology and Medicine, (London University) and holds the ACSM, the M. Sc degree and D.I.C. from London and he is Fellow of the Institution of Mining and metallurgy. (F.I.M.M.). He entered the Civil Service as Government Mining Engineer in 1965 and attained to the position of Deputy Director of Mines before joining the NDMC on Secondment in 1979. He became Managing Director in 1992 before the Company went into liquidation in October, 1993. Alhaji Deen is married to former Mary Ganda with six children. |
