Born in 1943 in KOLOFATA (Far North Province of Cameroon).
Holder of a Diploma from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (Ranking First of his batch).
Holder of a diploma from the International Institute of Public Administration in Paris (Ranking First of his batch).
1971 to 1972: Was appointed First Deputy Senior Divisional Officer of NGAOUNDERE.
1972 to 1974: Was appointed Director of Territorial Organization in the Ministry of Territorial Administration.
1974 to 1982: Acted as Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Service.
1982 to1983: Was appointed Delegate General for Tourism.
1983 to 1985: Was appointed Delegate General for National Gendarmerie.
1985 to 1996: Was appointed Secretary of State for Defence in Charge of the National Gendarmerie.
1996 to 1997: Was appointed Secretary General at the Presidency of The Republic with the rank and prerogatives of a Minister, concurrently with his functions as Secretary of State for Defence.
1997 to 2001: Was appointed Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence.
2001 to 2004: Occupied the functions of Minister of State in charge of Justice, Keeper of the Seals.
As from the 08 of December 2004: Vice Prime Minister, minister of Justice, and Keeper of the Seals.
